Motivation. Why do I run?

Sometimes it's easy to put on my running shoes and head out for a run. Other times I have to work hard to get myself out the door. But I'm nearly always grateful that I did it.

I thought I'd share some of the reasons that get me out the door. And I'd love to hear from you. What motivates you?

I run to work towards my goals.

I run to enjoy shoulder to shoulder friendship with my husband.

I run to stay healthy and fit.

I run because it helps me feel better, both physically and emotionally.

I run to explore the world, both locally and in far away places.

I run to have space, away from technology, to think.

I run to keep moving. I run because I like ice cream.

I run to learn how to persevere.

I run to learn about life.

I run because I can do it anywhere.

I run to engage my mind.

I run for fresh air.

I run to experience beauty.

I run because I can.

What motivates you to run?
